Cutyland
Cutyland was the first cosmetics shop of Shenzhen Mannay Cosmetics co., Ltd. (“Mannay”) opened in Wuhan, which was my first commercial project as a designer. The shop was decorated with a theme of ‘Garden’ with a series of tailor-made display shelves.
At the beginning, I was involved in brand positioning, including setting up direction of the brand and theme of products and display. The moods were determined as ‘Cuteness’, ‘Romance’ and ‘Fantasy’, thus we decided to use ‘Garden’ as the theme with pinky colour tone. Then we researched for aesthetic direction about gardens and decoration of typical Hello Kitty shops.
After considering the possible types of shop and suitability for all kinds of products, I designed a series of display shelves with various functions and different decoration according to the theme.
When all the preparations had been done, I built up a 3D model by 3ds Max to visualise the shop layout.
